...That Happy Drivers are Safer Drivers?

While multiple studies have looked at the effect of negative emotions on human behavior, new research (published in the November 2018 issue of the journal Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour) emphasized the strong link between negative emotions and driving behavior.

The research found that negative emotions affected driving habits in two ways:

  1. By promoting aggressive driving;

  2. By reducing the driver’s attention to the road and the environment around them.
